The ice on Lake George is out! Most of the snow is gone in the area and it is time to start opening up the rooms, finishing up the renovations, raking the lawn and opening the hot tub. The April showers today are filling the stream and bringing out the green in the tree buds. Spring has sprung here at Green Haven Resort! Kaycee and Isabella have had their first visit to the dog beach and while I wouldn’t put a toe in, it was hard to get them out of the water. They are looking forward to meeting and greeting all kinds of new friends this summer at Green Haven Resort, both human and dog-kind.
Have you heard about the Adirondack Craft Beverage Trail. As we all know craft breweries, wineries and distilleries have really taken off in the past decade. The ACB Trail is dedicated to those small, family run, unique breweries, distilleries and wineries that are produced in the Lake George and Saratoga regions. They have a great website at http://adkcraftbev.com/ that even includes a map of these unique businesses. Of course if you don’t have a designated driver you can always climb on board the Hoppy Trails Brew Bus, and yes they do make stops at the distilleries and wineries too. They have a few preset tours or you can call them and have a tour catered to your taste with your ‘besties’. www.hoppytrailsbrewbus.com 518-361-3087. Tell them Kathi and Kevin from Green Haven Resort sent you, they are great folks and do an awesome job getting you to all of the establishments and back to your hotel in one piece.
Give us a call if you are still looking for a great place to hang your hat this summer while you take in all of the sights, sounds and libations in the Lake George area. Green Haven Resort is always happy to meet new folks and make the family tradition of the summer vacation one to look forward to the rest of the year. Cheers!
